Mumbai: Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis said in a statement on Tuesday that a reply will be filed in the Bombay High Court on a petition challenging the appointment of Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil and two other ministers in the state government. The court had asked the government to file a response in this regard. The High Court on Monday sought a response from the former leader of opposition Vikhe Patil in the state assembly, Jaydutt Kshirsagar and RPI (A) leader Avinash Mahatekar, who Had been recently appointed a minister in the Fadnavis-led government from the National Congress Party (NCP) in The Shiv Sena. The court had deferred the hearing of the case for four weeks, saying that "the defendants (ministers) also have the opportunity to object to the petition or defend themselves."
