Modi stated that his life committed to the national interest will always be an example to humanity. Prasad, who was born in Bihar, is India's only two-term president. In the war for independence and the drafting of the constitution, he played an unequalled role. His life, which is based on the principles of simplicity and lofty thought, will continue to inspire his countrymen,' the Prime Minister stated. On this day, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, India's first President, was born. He was born in Jiradei, a small village in Bihar, on December 3, 1884. Mahadev Sahai was his father's name, and Kamleshwari Devi was his mother's. He was appointed to this position when our Republic was established on January 26, 1950. Dr. Rajendra Prasad was appointed to the Food and Agriculture Department as a cabinet minister in Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru's first government following independence. In the Constituent Assembly of India, he was named Speaker to help draught the Constitution.
