New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Haryana and Punjab on today (August 24) as he is scheduled to inaugurate and dedicate to the nation two key health initiatives. The Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital & Research Center will be dedicated to the nation at Mullanpur in New Chandigarh, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar District in Mohali at around 02:15 PM, as per the statement from the Prime Minister's Office. The Prime Minister will officially open the Amrita Hospital in Faridabad, Haryana, after which he will go to Mohal. The availability of ultra-modern medical infrastructure facility in the National Capital Region will get a boost with the inauguration of Amrita Hospital at Faridabad. The super-specialty hospital, run by Mata Amritanandamayi Math, will have 2600 beds. The facility, which is being built at an estimated cost of over Rs 6000 crore, would offer people in Faridabad and the wider NCR region access to cutting-edge medical facilities. The Prime Minister will dedicate "Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital & Research Center" to the Nation at Mullanpur, New Chandigarh, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar District in an endeavor to deliver top-notch cancer care to residents of Punjab and neighboring states and UTs (Mohali). The Hospital was constructed for a price of about 660 crore rupees by the Tata Memorial Centre, a government-funded institution under the Department of Atomic Energy.
