NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually address the 'National Conference of Labour Ministers of all states and union territories on Thursday, August 25.

The Union Ministry of Labour and Employment is hosting the two-day summit in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh.
The Conference is being held in the spirit of cooperative federalism to discuss several significant labor-related issues. It will also help create further synergy amongst the Central government and state governments in formulating better policies and making certain effective implementation of schemes for the welfare of workers.

The conference will feature four thematic sessions on integrating the e-Shram portal for social security schemes to be added to universalize social protection, Swasthya se Samriddhi for bettering medical care through ESI hospitals run by state governments and integration with PMJAY, framing of rules under four labour codes and modalities for their implementation, Vision Shramev Jayate @ 2047 with a focus on just and equitable working conditions, social protection to all workers, and more.

An official release said "the conference will help create further synergy amongst the centrea and state governments in formulating better policies and ensuring effective implementation of schemes for the welfare of workers".
