PM Modi Assures Support As Lt Gen DS Hooda Makes An Appeal Seeking Urgent Drug Approval

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has assured retired Lt Gen DS Hooda (Lieutenant General DS Hooda) of all possible help for the treatment of his sister. PM Modi spoke to Lt Gen Hooda last Saturday. He assured that the approval and procurement of a new drug will be expedited to help his sister Sushma Hooda suffering from breast cancer (Breast Cancer). Gen. Hooda's siblings had appealed to the Prime Minister on Twitter regarding the drug.

Last Saturday afternoon, Sushma Hooda tweeted, "She is requesting Prime Minister Modi to intervene with great hope and ensure the earliest approval and purchase of the drug Trodelvi for the Indian market as it will give her and many others this new lease of life. Referring to his sister's tweet, former Lt Gen DS Hooda said on Twitter, "Sushma Hooda is my sister who has been a cancer patient for many years and expectations are slowly weakening. If the new drug (Trodelvi) is approved, there may be a chance to save many people with them.''

A few hours later, DS Hooda said on Twitter that "he had received a call from the Prime Minister's Office and spoke to Prime Minister Modi. The PM has assured all possible help.'' Hooda also said, "I am honoured with his (Prime Minister) phone and reply that the matter will be looked into. I am proud to be an Indian and the Prime Minister's personal intervention.''

Lt Gen Hooda was the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Northern Command (Northern Command of Indian Army) of the Indian Army when the Surgical Strike took place in 2016. At the same time, he led a Task Force (Task Force) constituted by the Congress Party (Congress) in 2019 to prepare a vision paper for the country on national security.
