PM Modi gets emotional on death of Arun Jaitley, says, I lost a friend

NEW DELHI: After the death of veteran BJP leader and former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, there has been grief across the country, including political corridors. He passed away at 12.07 p.m. on Saturday. He was admitted to AIIMS in Delhi from 9th August. Hearing the news of his demise, PM Modi has expressed his grief through a tweet. PM Modi is currently on a visit to the UAE.

Prime Minister Modi has described The demise of Arun Jaitley as a huge loss and said that a friend had left his life. Pm Modi has written praising his political understanding that I have lost a relationship that I have known for decades. In a series of tweets, Mr Modi wrote how Jaitley stood at the forefront of protecting democracy during the Emergency.

In the past, Arun Jaitley was placed on Extracaroporal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) and Intra-Arotic Balloon (IABP) support. Arun Jaitley was admitted to AIIMS on August 9 due to breathing problems. Several political and social figures have expressed grief on social media as news of his death came to light.
