President Ram Nath Kovind has appointed Governor in two more states on Tuesday. These States include Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh. Senior BJP leader, former Rajya Sabha MP and tribal face of the party Ansuiya Uike has been appointed as the new Governor of Andhra Pradesh to Chhattisgarh and another senior party leader Vishwabhushan Harichandan. Congress Rajya Sabha member Hussain Dalwai alleges party for ignoring Muslims On behalf of Rashtrapati Bhavan, it has been said that President Ram Nath Kovind appointed Ansuiya Uike as the Governor of Chattisgarh and Shri Harichandan of Andhra Pradesh. Both the appointments will be effective from the day they take over. Sixty-eight-year-old Anusuiya Uike will replace Mrs. Anandi Ben Patel in Chhattisgarh, who is now holding additional charge of the Governor of Chhattisgarh along with Madhya Pradesh. Uike, who hails from Chhindwara in Madhya Pradesh, has been a Rajya Sabha member from Madhya Pradesh from 2006 to 2012. Uike is currently holding the post of Vice-Chairman of the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes. Uike was born on April 10, 1957 in Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh. Uike was also a minister in Madhya Pradesh as Arjun Singh's chief minister. She was also the Chairperson of the Women's Commission. Vishwa Bhushan started his political journey with the Jan Sangh in 1971. He was then General Secretary of the Jan Sangh in Andhra Pradesh till the formation of the Janata Party in 1977. Harichandan was also the president of the state BJP from 1980 to 1988. He joined the Janata Party in 1988 and was the state vice-president of the party. He was a minister in the Biju Janata Dal-BJP coalition government in the state in 2004. He was the President of the Odisha unit of the BJP. He will replace ESL Narasimhan in Andhra Pradesh, who has been in office since December 2009. Narasimhan has been holding the post of Governor of Telangana since June 2, 2014 after the bifurcation of the state.
