New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will visit Chennai on February 28 to release an autobiography on Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stali, party sources said. 'Ungalil Oruvan' is the title of the autobiography which means “One Among You”. According to party sources, Rahul Gandhi who is the Wayanad MP would also meet with newly elected Congress members of urban local bodies at the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee headquarters. Local body elections were held across Tamil Nadu earlier this month, some nine months after the 2021 Parliament elections, in which the DMK won 133 seats in the 234-member assembly on its own. The Stalin-led Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and its allies, including the Congress, CPI(M), CPI, IUML, MDMK, and VCK, won a resounding victory in the state's urban local body elections, beating adversaries All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) and other regional parties. On Saturday, Tamil Nadu voters chose 12,607 candidates for positions in 21 corporations, 138 municipalities, and 490 town panchayats. There are 57,778 people running for 12,607 positions.
