Chandigarh: Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar has said that no decision has yet been taken on the parole of Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim. Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, who was imprisoned in jail, has sought parole for more than a month from the court to cultivate his farms in Sirsa, Haryana. On this, CM Khattar said, "There are certain legal procedures and a person who has the right to parole can take it. We can't stop anyone. There is no decision on Ram Rahim yet," he said. A top official of Sirsa district said on Tuesday that Ram Rahim, who was imprisoned in Sunaria jail in Rohtak district of Haryana, has requested 42 days parole to look after his farms in the district. Sirsa Deputy Commissioner Ashok Kumar Garg has said that the application is under consideration and asked the Revenue and Police Department to submit a report. "Right now I can only say that the application is being considered," Garg said over the phone. ' Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim has been jailed in The Sunaria jail in Rohtak since he was convicted in two rape cases and murder of a journalist. Gurmeet was sentenced to 20 years in prison in August 2017 for raping two women.
