Sex racket busted in Bihar, 10 women held

PATNA : With the arrest of TEN  girls and a dozen customers apart from a kingpin, the Sitamarhi police in Bihar busted a flesh trade/sex racket being run in the city.

The racket was busted, said Sitamarhi's SP Harkishore Rai, based on information provided by a few suspects who were apprehended during a Dumra police operation.

"On Tuesday night, as our team was patrolling the Murad Nagar locality , the authorities noticed loud music coming from one Vishal Mandal's home. When they arrived, the squad led by SI Sneha Kumari saw two girls dancing and engaging in immoral acts at a birthday party. The group, which included two girls, was subsequently detained. Also, some liquor bottles were seized "said Rai.

During the course of the investigation, the girls revealed that they are members of a gang run by Chandni Devi and her husband Ravi Kumar. They said they are staying in a house belonging to one Nawal Rai in Barbasiya village under Surshand police station in the district. A team was immediately constituted and the house was raided, Rai said.

"Eight more girls, including 2 minors, were taken into custody along with the kingpin Chandni Devi. Ten customers were also arrested from the house," he said.

It was discovered that Chandni Devi was operating a flesh-trading ring while disguising herself as an orchestra party. Rai, though, claimed that her husband had fled.
