Islamabad: In a shocking incident, an innocent girl was allegedly kidnapped and raped in Pakistan. Not only this but after the rape, the accused burnt the girl alive. The incident took place in Kohsar town adjoining Islamabad. According to the report, the body of the minor was found in the water tank of a house in Old Kirpa Road. The area falls under Kirpa police station limits. The deceased girl was a resident of the Mardan area.

The victim's father has lodged a complaint at Kirpa police station. The complaint states that his 7-year-old daughter along with her grandmother, mother and sister had gone to the neighbour's house to attend an event. After some time, there was a noise of the minor going missing. The family kept searching for the girl, but she was nowhere to be found. Someone told the police that they had seen the girl running out of an under-construction house with an unknown person. When her family reached the under-construction house, they were stunned. According to the report, the burnt body of the daughter was recovered from the water tank on the roof of the house. Police are awaiting the post-mortem report to confirm the rape. Police have arrested four suspects, including a girl, in connection with the case. The police are claiming to expose the entire incident soon.

The state of emergency was declared in June 2022 after increasing sexual violence against women and children in Punjab province. Punjab Home Minister Atta Tarar had said he was forced to do so as crimes against women and children were worrisome for both society and the government. However, even after this, the incidents of crime against women and girls are not taking name of stopping.
