Lucknow: The Samajwadi Party (SP) has been in a tizzy ever since the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. Shivpal Singh Yadav, who became an MLA by winning the election on an SP ticket, has opened a front these days against the party chief and his nephew Akhilesh Yadav. Not only is uncle Shivpal angry with Akhilesh, but he is also worried about the political future of his son Aditya Yadav. Shivpal wanted his son Aditya Yadav to contest the election, but due to Akhilesh Yadav, his wish could not be fulfilled. In fact, Shivpal Yadav had made all preparations to field his son Aditya Yadav from his traditional seat Jaswantnagar in the 2022 assembly elections. He said this in an interview as well. "When Akhilesh Yadav decided to give me only one seat, I had asked him to field Aditya Yadav from Jaswantnagar seat in my place, but he refused to give me a ticket. After this, Shivpal contested on the SP's election symbol and became an MLA.'' Shivpal said in the interview that he has contested the election on an SP ticket. When he (Akhilesh) came to my house, I told him that I will contest on SP ticket and not as an alliance partner. If I was ambitious, I would have left the SP (when I was given a ticket), the seat from which I contested had the sp got the most votes and my victory margin was the highest. And after all this, I was not even invited to the SP Legislature Party meeting.
