New Delhi: There is relief news for more than 20 lakh small businessmen of the country. Actually, the government has started SMS service for the businessmen who have filed zero monthly GST returns. Under this facility, filing of GST returns can be done only by sending messages. However, this facility is only for those whose monthly GST returns are zero. Zero returns can be sent via SMS on 14409 on the first date of the coming month.

Giving this information, the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has said that, "Taking a big step for the convenience of taxpayers, the government allowed filling of zero GST monthly returns in the GSTR-3B form through SMS. is. This will benefit 22 lakh registered taxpayers. "Under this facility, units which have zero or no entry in all tables in Form GST-3B can file returns through SMS using registered mobile number. The verification of the return will be through the registered mobile number based one time password (OTP) facility.

CBIC said that taxpayers whose liability is zero, there is no need to 'log on' to the GST portal. The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs introduced a new rule in the Central GST Rules last month. CBIC has said that, "There is information on how to fill void form GSTR-3B with immediate effect on GSTN portal". Let us tell you that 1.22 crore units are registered under GST.
