Sonia Gandhi's attack on Modi government over EIA draft and environmental issues

New Delhi: The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) 2020 draft brought by the Modi government of the Center is being criticized all around. Social workers who raise the issue of environment from opposition parties are also opposing it. Now Congress Working President Sonia Gandhi has written an article on this issue, in which she has fiercely criticized this policy of Modi government.

In an English newspaper, Sonia Gandhi wrote, 'If you protect nature, nature will also protect you. The crisis of coronavirus that has arisen in the world in recent times, gives a new lesson to humans. It is our duty to protect the environment '. Sonia has written, 'Our country has sacrificed the environment for the race of development, but it should also set a limit. The record of this government in the last 6 years has been such that there is no consideration to protect the environment, today we are far behind in this matter in the world. The government should have considered because of the epidemic, but it is being ignored '.

Sonia Gandhi attacked saying that the matter of coal mines first or now the EIA notification, no opinion is being taken from anyone. Narendra Modi's track record as the Chief Minister of Gujarat has been bad for the environment so far, even now the government is ruining the rules in the name of Ease of Doing Business.
