What if Sri Lankan mob entered India as 'refugees'

New Delhi: Senior BJP leader Rajya Sabha member Subramanian Swamy has cautioned the Modi government against protests against the ongoing economic crisis in Sri Lanka. In a tweet, he asked the Modi government not to make Sri Lanka mob refugees in India. He wrote in his tweet that Judging by the invasion of privacy of homes of elected Sri Lankan leaders, and the crude and vulgar language on Twitter of the mob, it is clear that the present crisis in Sri Lanka is engineered. India has to ensure that later this mob does not become of refugees in India.

The BJP MP also attacked Sri Lankan protesters. Swamy tweeted that It is a pleasure to see that Indians on Twitter are by and large of civilised language. But the Sri Lankan mobs on Twitter are crude, vulgar and uncivilised. This mob should be opposed and put in their place by the civilised Sri Lankans. At the same time, Swamy has also advised providing military assistance to Sri Lanka. In his tweet on Sunday, he wrote that both Gotabaya and Mahinda Rajapaksa were elected in an independent election with a thumping majority. How can India allow the crowd to overturn such a legitimate election? Then no democratic country in our neighbourhood will be safe. If Rajapaksa wants military assistance from India, we should give it.
