Kolkata: Speaking to the media after seeing the situation in Sri Lanka, West Bengal's ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) MLA Idris Ali has said that prime minister Narendra Modi will be treated in India the same thing as President Gotabaya Rajapaksa in Sri Lanka. Idris Ali said in a statement, "What happened to the President in Sri Lanka. That will be the case with PM Modi here now, I think. PM Modi is behind what is happening in India, it is his failure. Perhaps more than what happened in Sri Lanka may be in India and PM Modi has to flee the country. He will have to resign and run away.''

It is worth mentioning that in Sri Lanka, protesters protesting against the government had entered the Rashtrapati Bhavan in the past few days. He had expelled President Gotabaya Rajapaksa from his residence demanding the president's resignation. After this, the same protesters were seen resting on the bed of the Rashtrapati Bhavan, cooking, taking selfies and creating ruckus in the swimming pool. India had also issued a statement on the happenings in Sri Lanka. India's External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar had termed the time as a difficult period and said, "We have been very supportive of Sri Lanka. We are trying to help in every way possible. They're working on their problem, let's see what happens next. So far, no problems related to refugees have been reported. There is nothing to worry about the refugees, we are also in constant touch with the officials of the Indian Embassy in Sri Lanka. Information about the moment-to-moment developments is being taken.''

Let us know that in Sri Lanka, these situations have arisen after sinking in debt to the throat. There, protesters are on the street because their basic requirement is not even being completed. In such a situation, when Idris Ali expressed his heartfelt desire by connecting these situations to India, people appeared to be angry with him. People have objected to this after hearing the statement of the TMC leader. He is being told that Idris' dream will never be fulfilled and even if something like this happens, it will happen in Bengal first.
