Hyderabad: At least 100 stray dogs have been killed in the Siddhipet district of Telangana. According to animal rights activist Adulapuram Gautam, the village sarpanch and the panchayat secretary together poisoned the dogs. Gautam is a member of the Stray Animal Foundation of India. At the same time, in this case, the police have said that a case has been registered and an investigation is going on. The complaint given by Gautam stated that the Awar dogs were killed in Tigul village under Jagdevpur Mandal. According to him, the village sarpanch and panchayat secretary have hired dog catchers. Shiakat said that on March 27, these dogs were poisoned. Along with this, they also killed a pet dog. On Sunday, the foundation members had reached the village. During this time, they came to know that after killing the dogs, they were thrown into the well and set on fire. A video that is fast going viral on social media also shows the corpses of dogs lying in the pit. The activist has also sent a complaint to the Collector of Siddhipet and the Commissioner of Police.
