Giridih: The trend of bank robbery crime has changed in Jharkhand. Criminals now rob the banks less, they take away ATMs full of money. In the last 6 months, there have been 7 incidents of ATM uprooting and cutting in the state. In most cases, the hands of the police have been empty. On Tuesday night, a gang of criminals uprooted the ATM of Axis Bank at Shivaji Nagar in Isri Bazar under Nimiyaghat police station area of Giridih district. However, the police confiscated the looted ATM within a few hours. There was about 27 lakh rupees in the ATM. Dumri SDPO Manoj Kumar said that 3 persons have been detained in this regard, interrogation is being done. Earlier, on the intervening night of June 7-8, the ATM of Bank of India near Block Road in Baharagora of East Singhbhum district was hacked by miscreants with a gas cutter. There were 12 lakh 86 thousand rupees in this ATM. The surprising thing is that this ATM is located just 200 meters away from the Bahragora police station area. It is being said that when the criminals were damaging the ATM, the bank's headquarters in Mumbai also got an alert. The bank tried to inform the Baharagora police station, but the phone was not connected. When the police station in-charge of Bahragora Mukesh Sharan received the information at around 5 am, the police reached the spot, but by then the robbers had taken away the ATM. According to the police, the criminals sprayed on the CCTV camera so that their photographs could not be captured.
