Indore: In a shocking incident, a nine-year-old girl was allegedly raped in Madhya Pradesh's financial capital Indore. The case is of Amitesh Nagar under the Rajendra Nagar police station area. A nine-year-old girl, who was sleeping outside her house here, was picked up by a criminal late on Friday night and raped. The criminal then left the girl on the roadside and fled. The culprit was identified as Chandan alias Chaman, a resident of Ahirkhedi. At the same time, the injured girl has been admitted to the hospital, where she is undergoing treatment. ACP Nihit Upadhyay said that the criminal Chandan threw the girl on the other side from the boundary wall of the building and took her away. CCTV footage has also been found. He later raped the girl and fled leaving her on the roadside. The ACP said that on the complaint of the family members, the police immediately reached the spot and took the front. The crime branch, including the police of many police stations, was also deployed to catch the culprit. In the surrounding areas, crime branch personnel in civil dress conducted a recce and scanned CCTV footage. The act of the miscreant kidnapping the innocent near the house was captured on CCTV. When the police searched for the culprit on the basis of his appearance, Chandan, a resident of Ahirkhedi in the Dwarkapuri area, was arrested by the police. The criminal has confessed to his crime.
