Hyderabad (Telangana): To help farmers, the Telangana government has decided to provide financial assistance of Rs 7,300 crore under the 'Raitu Bandhu' scheme from December 27 to January 7. Earlier this month, Telangana Chief Minister KCR directed the concerned authorities to look into providing assistance to every farmer in the state.
Beneficiary farmers get Rs 5,000 per acre (crop seeds) directly in their bank accounts for the purpose of purchasing seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, labor and other investments. First aid is provided to farmers with land. Has less grip. All farmers will receive assistance within 10 days.
This is the second tranche of investment assistance to farmers in 2020. The first tranche was deposited in the bank accounts of 50.84 lakh landowners in June. In the 2020-21 budget, Rs 14,000 crore has been allocated for the 'Raitu Bandhu' scheme.
