The Meteorological Department said that in the western Himalayan region and adjoining plains, thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and strong winds is expected to increase the red of central and eastern India from today.

For the next 4 days, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sikkim and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal may receive normal or above normal rainfall. According to the IMD, heavy rain with thunder, lightning and strong winds is expected in Assam and Meghalaya till April 23. At the same time, due to the next 5 days, the Meteorological Department has predicted scattered rain and strong winds in Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Odisha associated with the Ganges area.

Along with this, the Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of scattered rain and thundershowers in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Similar weather is expected for the next four days. IMD has said that due to the next two days, light rain, lightning, strong winds are expected in Punjab and Haryana and Delhi.
