Vaccine Supply: Centre Provides 30.54 Crore Doses to States, UTs

New Delhi: The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Friday stated that central government has provided more than 30.54 crore vaccine doses to States/Union Territories. The ministry details that total of 1,50,28,186 balance and unutilized COVID-19 vaccine doses available even now with the states and union territories. 30,54,32,450 vaccine doses have been given to States/UTs till now through the Government of India (free of cost channel) and through direct state procurement category. “Of this, the total consumption, including wastages is 29,04,04,264 doses, as per the data from the ministry till 8 am on Friday.

Further, over 47,00,000 doses of vaccine are in the pipeline and will be provided to the States/Union Territories within the next three days. In the new phase of universalization of the vaccination drive, 75 percent of the vaccines being produced by the vaccine manufacturers in the country will be procured and supplied (free of cost) to States and UTs by the Centre.

The cumulative number of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered under the nationwide vaccination drive stands at 30,79,48,744, the Union Health Ministry informed.
