Agriculture Bill: YSRCP comes in support of Modi govt

New Delhi: The YSR Congress party has supported the agricultural bill introduced by the Modi government in the upper house of Parliament. Party MP Vijaysai Reddy said, the coming of the bill will give voluntary to the farmers and end the touts system. Joining the debate on the agriculture bill in the house on Sunday, Vijaysai Reddy said that the price of the produce will benefit the farmers and the touts will get rid of the agents.

He said that at the same time, the dictatorship of the market committees will also be eliminated. However, YSRCP has also raised questions about not including tobacco in the bill. Vijaysai said that the YSR Congress government will stand in support of the farmers and under this, 49 lakh farmers are giving Rs. 13,500 crore annually in the name of Ratu trust. At the same time, funds have been created for rate control for farmers. He said that the Jagan government has fixed the support price for the produce and will continue to be helpful in matters like, fertilizer, etc., through the Ratu trust centres.

MP Vijaysai Reddy said that the Congress party in its manifesto had referred to the removal of restrictions on crop transport by cancelling the Market Committee, but today the NDA government is doing it there. He said the Congress should introspect before the bill is caliphate. He accused the Congress of standing with touts.
