New Delhi: The Delhi Police has arrested three robbers and seized jewellery worth Rs 80 lakh and lakhs of rupees in cash from Delhi and Punjab. On May 24, criminals had looted the house of a transgender in East Delhi's Laxmi Nagar area. The robbery was planned by a person named Pawan Jaiswal. On May 24, the Delhi Police received information that a robbery had taken place in a house in Laxmi Nagar. 

The victim complained that four men wearing masks held hostage and looted the entire house and fled. The robbery was carried out during the day time. On this complaint, the Delhi Police registered an FIR and started investigating. The police team first scanned CCTV footage around the scene of the incident. The police scanned footage of around 300 CCTV cameras from Laxmi Nagar to Naya Banas in Noida. Then the criminals appeared in CCTV in Naya Bamboo. Meanwhile, the police were seen talking with a man in a footage from Laxmi Nagar. Subsequently, the police identified the man, identified as Pawan Jaiswal. Pawan used to run a paan shop in Laxmi Nagar. The police took Pawan into custody for questioning. 

According to DCP East Delhi Amrita Guguloth, Pawan initially tried to mislead the police, but when the police showed him the CCTV, he told the police the entire conspiracy of robbery. Pawan told the police that he had suffered a lot in business due to the lockdown. He had a debt of lakhs of rupees. Meanwhile, he came to know that there could be jewellery in the house of a eunuch. Thereafter, he hatched a conspiracy to rob. He then met Sunny alias Armaan, and added some people to the conspiracy. Then Armaan talked to Salman and other companions. I parked the car there and then came to Laxmi Nagar. Everyone met Pawan here. They then fled after committing the robbery. The police have recovered gold ornaments worth Rs 70 lakh, Rs 6.5 lakh cash, more than 2 kg silver jewellery, five toy guns, a pistol from the criminals. Apart from this, the iPhone purchased with the looted money has also been recovered.
