Kurnool: 10 people were injured after being bitten by a stray dog ​​in Yaganti Palli of Banaganpalle assembly constituency. Many others including Rama Tulasamma, Dandu Varalu, Lakshmi Devi, Tirumalesh, Rama Lashmamma and Kumar, residents of Yagantipalli, were also injured in the dog attack. Almost all the injured were immediately taken to the Banaganapally Government General Hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, anti rabies injections were not available in the hospital.

After the first aid, the doctors of the hospital have referred him to Kurnool Government Hospital. He was given anti rabies injection at Kurnool Hospital. The victims expressed their anger at the doctors of Banaganapally Hospital as they could not keep the stock of injections. He questioned that what is the use of a 100-bed hospital when it cannot provide medicine for dog bites.

Victims and residents have also blamed the municipal corporation and gram panchayat officials for not taking steps to address the dog problem. Even after complaining several times, the authorities are not taking any action. He urged the municipal employees to take measures at least for now to catch the dogs and save them and their children from dog bites.
