Patiala: On Monday, the body of 100-year-old woman was found in her field at a village near Punjab's Patiala, according to her family, she was raped before being murdered.

Partially stripped body of a woman recovered near paddy fields in Daub Kalan village in the early hours. She served serious injuries at her head.

According to the grandson of woman, “the family slept around midnight, and the grandmother, used to sleep in the open. In the morning we found her dead. She had been raped and died because of the wounds in her head”.

A case of murder has been filed and if it will be confirmed by the postmortem then rape charges will also be added.
