Ujjain: Rescue operations are being carried out at a rapid pace in view of the increasing coronavirus infection in Madhya Pradesh. There is a shortage of oxygen day by day leading to death of patients. Now, in view of this, a 100 bedded corona ward has been constructed at Ardi Gardi Medical College Hospital, Ujjain. Under the information received, patients in this ward have been promised oxygen at all times. It has been asked to deploy doctors and paramedical staff round the clock so that patients do not face any problems.

As per the information received, oxygen concentrator machines have also been installed in this corona ward of Ujjain and automatic oxygen supply will continue as soon as these machines are switched on. As per the information received, 100 patients can be admitted to this ward at a time and an oxygen tank has also been installed on the premises to prevent a shortage of oxygen.

Giving this information, The Covid Nodal Officer of Medical College Hospital, Dr. Sudhakar Vaidya has said, 'Oxygen machines have been installed to ensure that the patients admitted here get oxygen. There will be one machine each on each bed, which will keep producing oxygen from the atmosphere itself'. At the same time, during a meeting held recently, District Collector Vivek Joshi had told the Chief Minister that "there is a problem of injection and oxygen shortage for patients in the state, it should be diagnosed. At the same time, the separate quotas should be fixed in all the districts". After this, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan assured the district collector and the delegation that separate arrangements would be made soon.
