New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi today addressed an agriculture programme organized by the Gujarat government on natural farming practices. It was expected that he would release the 10th instalment of PM Kisan today, but it did not happen. More than 12 crore farmers belonging to PM Kisan Samman Nidhi may have to wait a little longer. Because, the States have signed RFT, but FTO cannot be generated so far.

Speaking on the occasion, PM Modi mentioned pm Kisan but did not say anything about the 10th instalment. He said that in the last 6-7 years, a number of steps have been taken one after the other to increase the income of the farmer from seed to market. From soil testing to hundreds of new seeds, from the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi to one-and-a-half times the cost MSP, from strong irrigation networks to kisan rail, several steps have been taken.

On December 25 last year, PM Modi sent money to farmers' accounts. On that day, PM Narendra Modi had released 18,000 crore rupees under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. 18,000 crore rupees were deposited in the accounts of more than 9 crore farmers of the country as instalment of PM Kisan Yojana. Subsequently, till 31st March, 2021, money has reached the accounts of 10,23,49,443 beneficiaries under this instalment.
