Cairo: A 12-year-old girl, who was victim of another painful practice, yes, you heard right, this whole incident is from the southern part of Egypt. Here the 12-year-old girl died due to the process of 'circumcision'. According to the information received, the parents of the girl went to a doctor for circumcision. Here the girl died during circumcision. In this case, the accused parents and the doctor have been arrested.

Let us tell you that the government has declared 'circumcision' as a crime, yet this practice is not taking the name of stopping. This law has been passed only in 2008, but still cases of circumcision of women are being constantly seen, but opposition parties have consistently opposed it, that is why they are not taking the name of this practice. Even after declaring circumcision as a crime, this matter is being seen continuously in the country. This tradition has been going on since old times. After this whole incident, the prosecution gave a statement on Thursday night that after the death of the girl in Asiut province, the country's government lawyer has taken custody of the girl's parents and the doctor who 'circumcised' them.

On this whole matter, the Managing Director of Alme Fahmi Tadwane Gender Research Center told that 'this incident will not stop here. In Egypt, more girls will be forcibly circumcised in the name of this tradition, the process of continuous death will continue until a strategy against it will be declared a crime in the country. This whole matter has once again shamed the country. Despite being 'anti-circumcision', such incidents are not taking the name of stopping. If it is not banned, then no one knows how many innocent lives will be lost. The government should pay more attention to this so that women and children tortured by circumcision can be saved from it.
