Bhopal: The assembly last Tuesday also discussed the issue of sterilization of stray dogs in Madhya Pradesh. Meanwhile, BJP MLA Yashpal Sisodiya questioned the government. In his question, he said, "the terror of stray dogs in the state is increasing day by day. What has been the government about it?" The reply given by the urban administration to his question surprised everyone. All the members sitting in the house were shocked to hear their reply.

Replying to the question of Yashpal Sisodiya, the urban administration said, "The government has spent Rs 17 crore on sterilization to control the number of stray dogs in the last five years in 5 major cities of the state. Raising the question again, BJP MLA Yashpal Singh Sisodiya said, "The government has entrusted the responsibility of sterilization of dogs to NGOs which are under the question. Of these, two NGOs are from Hyderabad and two NGOs (NGOs) from Bhopal. Nevertheless, the sterilization drive does not appear to be there. Are there questions about spending crores of rupees? This should be seriously considered by the Government.''

How many rupees were spent for sterilization of stray dogs-

* Rs. 7 crores 46 lakh has been spent on 1 lakh 6 thousand dogs for sterilization of stray dogs in Indore City.

* 6 crores 76 lakh have been spent on 1 lakh 4 thousand dogs for sterilization of stray dogs in Bhopal City.

* Rs. 1 crore 70 lakh has been spent on 31 thousand 385 dogs for sterilization of stray dogs in Jabalpur city.

* Rs. 50 lakh has been spent on the sterilization of 9000 dogs in Ujjain.

* Rs. 53 lakh has been spent for sterilization of 13277 dogs in Gwalior.
