Is third wave in Maharashtra already there? 18 kids contract Covid at children's home

Mumbai: A children's corona test was conducted last Sunday at a children's home in Mankhurd, Maharashtra. Most surprisingly, 18 children were found to be infected with corona. Let me tell all of you that the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) says that all the children have been shifted to an isolation ward at the Covid Centre at Vashi Naka. Let me tell you all that the covid-19 cases continued to increase in Maharashtra last Sunday also.

In fact, 4,666 new cases of corona infection were reported in the state last Sunday while 3,301 patients were discharged from the hospital after treatment and 131 infected people were reported dead. It is also being said that now the number of active cases in the State has increased to 52,844. A total of 1,37,157 deaths have been reported in the state so far. The BMC said that a child was found to be covid positive last Wednesday and was then admitted to The Shatabdi Hospital for treatment. Two more children were found infected with corona the next day and then 15 children were found positive in antigen and RT-PCR tests last Friday.

After seeing all this, strict action was taken, though the number of infected people had increased to 18. All the infected children were now reportedly shifted to Covid Hospital for treatment. On the other hand, the BMC official says, "In view of the apprehension of a third wave in the state, such an inquiry is now being conducted every month. A total of 26 children have been found infected with a corona in the investigation conducted so far in private orphanages and boarding schools in the state. Some of these children are 12 years old.''
