Lucknow: Immunization of people in the age group of 18-44 years has started in Uttar Pradesh. Vaccination in the early stages is happening only in seven districts. These districts are Lucknow, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Meerut, and Bareilly. Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath himself reached the hospital and took stock of the vaccination.

At the time of the onset of vaccination, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reached the Avanti Bai vaccination center and inspected the vaccination drive launched for 18+ here. An official spokesperson said CM Yogi launched a vaccination drive for people above the age of 18 years at Avanti Bai Hospital. According to the spokesperson, CM Yogi reviewed the campaign to provide free vaccines to people above the age of 18 years. He said a consignment of the vaccine has been ordered from Hyderabad for vaccination.

On vaccination, UP Additional Chief Secretary Health said that in cities where the number of corona patients crosses 9,000, the first vaccination will be done in the third phase. He said a total of 123 lakh 82 thousand 938 people have been vaccinated in UP so far.
