New Delhi, Police arrested two persons for allegedly stealing gold and diamond jewellery worth Rs 66 lakh from Palamu in Jharkhand. DCP (north) Madhur Verma said, Sonu 23 and Dilip 21 were arrested by a Delhi Police team from their native place in Palamu on June 21.

An FIR has been registered on a complaint by a Shastri Nagar resident, Rajesh Chauhan at Kotwali police station on May 25 and an accused were arrested in connection.

According to police officer, "as per the complaint, Sonu had fled away with a parcel of gold and diamond jewellery worth Rs 66 lakh after which a police team was dispatched to Palamu which arrested the duo".
