Melbourne: The fire in the forests of New South Wales in Australia is worsening day by day. While giving information on Wednesday, police said that at least seven people have died in the devastating fire that has raged in the forest since Monday. According to a BBC report, a recent fire heading up the coast this week has also destroyed more than 200 homes.

Meanwhile, the main road closed in Victoria has been reopened for two hours on Wednesday to allow people leaving the area to leave. Many, however, are still in areas affected by the fire. 43 homes in East Gippsland, Victoria, while 176 houses in New South Wales have been destroyed in the fire. Earlier on Wednesday, the New South Wales Rural Fire Service said that 916 homes were destroyed and 363 houses were damaged this season. While relief and rescue teams of Australia are engaged in evacuating people, some people are still feared trapped.
