More than 3000 people missing in Northeast in three years, Assam is the biggest victim of this problem

For a long time, in eight states of the Northeast, the problem of getting separated from loved ones is getting bigger. According to the central government, between 2015 and 2017, about 28,000 people went missing from these eight states, in which the number of women and children is increasing. The same Minister of State for Home Kishan Reddy gave this information in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday. He has said in written reply that a total of 27,967 people have reported missing. Of these, 19,344 people are from Assam alone. The Union Minister also said that during this period, success has been achieved in finding 5,130 people.

According to the information received, 4,455 people have gone missing from Tripura, 1385 from Meghalaya, 999 from Manipur, 974 from Sikkim, 457 from Arunachal Pradesh, 343 from Nagaland and 10 from Mizoram. He said that the information for the year 2018 and 2019 is not available yet.

Most missing from Assam: It is being said that there are more children and women among those missing from Assam. In 2015, 2169 children, 2613 women and 1528 men were reported missing from this state. The next year, 2413 children, 3439 women and 2130 men went missing. 1651 children, 2453 women and 948 men missing in 2017
 

In Mizoram there are only 10 missing information in three years, let us tell you that the situation in Mizoram is exactly opposite from Assam. In 2017, only one child was reported missing. Whereas in 2016, there was no missing here. Similarly, in 2015, three children, one woman and only five men have been reported lost.
