Kolkata: Due to the death of 53 more patients infected with Corona infection in West Bengal, the death toll has increased to 3,017 in the state on Thursday. This information has been given in a bulletin issued by the Health Department of the state. It was said in the bulletin that 2,997 new cases of covid-19 were reported due to which the total number of corona infected in the state has increased to 1,50,772.

The Bulletin states that 3,189 more infected people were discharged from various hospitals after recovering during this period, leading to a healthy recovery rate of 80.28 per cent. According to the bulletin, the number of patients under treatment in the state now is 26,709. It was said in the bulletin that 42,474 samples were examined in the last 24 hours in the state.

COVID-19 cases in the country have crossed the 33.87 lakh mark. On Friday, once again, the biggest surge in coronavirus cases has occurred. For the first time on Friday, 77,266 new cases were reported in a day. But the matter of relief is that the number of people recovering from corona has exceeded 2.5 lakh and the investigation has increased. According to the data updated on Friday morning, the death toll has risen to 61,529 with the death of 1,057 people in the last 24 hours. Corona cases in India have increased to 33,87,501, of which 7,42,023 people are undergoing treatment and 25,83,948 people have recovered from the infection after treatment. Foreign citizens are also included in the total cases of infection.
