Vidisha: In Vidisha, MP, Sunday proved to be a day of mourning for the 3 houses who lost their darling children. In fact, 3 children who had gone for a picnic in The Udayagiri Dam drowned in deep water, due to which they lost their lives. All were between the ages of 15 and 17. After the drowning of the children in the dam, the rescue operation was started at around 5:00 pm on Sunday, which had to be stopped at night. On Monday morning, the NDRF squad was again called from Bhopal and a search operation was launched in which the bodies of two children have recovered while the search for one body is on.

The children who drowned include Ashish Lakhera, Vishesh Srivastava, and Saksham alias Honey. CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh each to the families of the deceased. Ashish, who drowned in the dam, was a resident of the Talaiya area while Vishesh Srivastava was from Durga Mohalla and Saksham alias Honey's house is Puranpura.  

After the discovery of the same two corpses, there is mourning in his family because the lamp of his house has been extinguished. The search for the third one continues. People expect the third to be alive, but after so much time has passed, the chances of the third being alive are negligible. According to SDM Gopal Singh Verma, financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh is being given to the family members of the deceased. According to the SDM, three children had drowned, in which the bodies of two children have been recovered and the search for the third child is on.
