3 terrorists arrested, hand grenades, 11 cartridges and pistol recovered from Indo-Pak border

Amritsar: Police in Punjab's Tarantaran district have succeeded in arresting 3 terrorists from Bhagwanpura village along the Indo-Pakistan border. According to reports, a hand grenade, 11 cartridges and foreign pistols were recovered from the possession of the terrorists. Police said the three arrested are residents of Moga district of Punjab.

They have been identified as Kulwinder Singh resident village Rauli, Kamalpreet Singh Maan resident ward six Moga, Kanwar Pal Singh resident Govind Basti. The three arrested youths are said to be linked to foreign terrorists. However, the police are currently closely investigating. Police have also launched search operations across the area. Inquiries into the arrested terrorists are trying to ascertain where they found weapons and explosives. Police may soon hold a press conference and disclose the matter.

Similar case has come to light in Tarantaran before. In fact, recently, Amritsar police seized four pistols, three magazines and 2 kg of heroin from Dalla village of Tarantaran on the Indo-Pak border. In a joint operation with BSF, the police launched a search operation on Border Observation Post (BOP) Dharma. After which punjab police is identifying people in nearby villages who were supposed to reach near the barbed wire to pick up consignments of these weapons and heroin.
