30 MP students stranded in Manipur, BJP leader demands airlift

Imphal: For the last few days, violence and hysteria are at their peak in Manipur of the country. About 10 districts of the state are completely in the grip of violence and officially so far about 54 deaths have been confirmed due to disturbance in the state. About 30 students from the state, including 3 students from Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh, have been reported stranded in Imphal, the capital of Manipur. BJP MLA Ram Dangore has written a letter to the CM demanding that they be airlifted and rescued.

Khandwa's Pandhana Assembly MLA and BJP state spokesperson Ram Dangore, in a letter written to the CM's office late on Saturday night, has demanded CM Shivraj Singh to airlift about 30 students of the state stranded in Manipur's capital Imphal. In which three students Shashibhan Tiwari, Harsh Rao and Shivam Rai are also from Khandwa district. The MLA has mailed the letter to the CM's office last night and will hold a telephonic discussion with the CM on Sunday in this regard.

MLA Dangore has written to the CM that, "Due to the continuous increase in the ongoing disturbance and hysteria in Manipur, phone and internet facilities have been stopped there and the Indian Army has been deployed. Madhya Pradesh at NSU University, Imphal About 30 students are studying in the university, including 3 students from Khandwa. After the situation of riots in the state of Manipur, the situation has become uncontrollable, due to which the government of Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur started trying to evacuate the students of their state. Therefore, you are requested that other students of Madhya Pradesh, including Khandwa, are requested to be airlifted and brought back to Madhya Pradesh after rescuing them."
