New Delhi: A recent post on social media is fast going viral claiming that 3000 oxygen concentraters from various institutions as a help are trapped due to custom clearance. Max Hospital lawyer Krishnan Venugopal has also reportedly informed the Delhi High Court that 3000 oxygen concentraters have been withheld by customs. NDTV had also posted the news on its website.

However, the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs) has taken cognizance of the matter and clarified that the news of non-receipt of custom clearance on 3,000 oxygen concentraters is fake. CBIC said no such consignment is pending with customs officials. CBIC further said that after such reports came on social media, the department conducted an inquiry with field formation and confirmed that no such consignment was pending with customs.

The board also said that the photo which is being shared on social media, if anyone knows where it is, to be informed about it, the board will take action. CBIC appeals to anyone to inform them about oxygen concentraters who are trapped in customs.
