Mohapatra has said that parts of North India, Delhi, Punjab and Haryana will not get benefit from this low pressure area and it is unlikely that there will be rain in these regions. By June 30, the monsoon has reached the entire country except in some parts of North India. The monsoon has yet to hit Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. The Met Office has recorded "low" rainfall in 28 of the 36 subdivisions, while in two subdivisions the rainfall has been categorized as "excessive shortage".
