New Delhi: According to data released by the Union Health Ministry, 53,480 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in India in the last 24 hours, bringing the total corona infection cases to 1,21,49,335 in the country. While the number of people recovering from this disease has increased to 1,14,34,301.
The number of active cases has increased significantly in recent weeks. According to an update from the Ministry of Health, 354 people have died in the last 24 hours in the country, taking the total number of deaths to 1,62,468. The active caseload of the coronavirus in the country has increased to 5,52,566. However, 41,280 people have recovered from the epidemic in the last 24 hours. Of the 354 new deaths, 139 are from Maharashtra, 64 from Punjab, 35 from Chhattisgarh, 16 from Kerala, 21 from Karnataka, and 16 from Tamil Nadu, 10 from Haryana, 10 from Madhya Pradesh, and 10 from UP.
A total of 162468 deaths have been recorded in the country so far, of which 54422 from Maharashtra, 6813 from Punjab, 4131 from Chhattisgarh, 4606 from Kerala, 12541 from Karnataka, 12700 from Tamil Nadu, 11016 from Delhi, 10327 from West Bengal, North 8800 deaths have been recorded from the state and 7213 from Andhra Pradesh.
