36 hours after boat accident, rescue team could not track two missing passengers

Guwahati : One of the two people who went missing in the Brahmaputra river incident was a teacher identified as Indreshwar Bora. He was a resident of Naboicha, Rampur in Lakhimpur. He is a non-salaried teacher in Rampur Rajgarh High School. According to reports, On the day of the incident, Indreshwar had gone to visit Dhekiakhuwa Namghar along with his wife Rokhi Senapati. The incident happened when they were returning from Naam Ghar by boat. The wife was rescued after the incident while the husband is said to be missing.

The outline said that no safety measures or any precautions were taken to prevent such an incident from happening. I shouted for help to save my husband. Boats and boats were also people, but no one heard my voice and did not come forward. During the rescue operation, a bag was recovered, which is said to be of Indreshwar. Aadhar card, outline commander's voter card was found in the bag.

It has been more than 36 hours since the Nimatighat boat accident but, the rescue operation is yet to track down the two missing passengers. Meanwhile, 89 people were rescued alive. The second person among the missing has been identified as Dr Bikramjit Barua of Jorhat. The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) of Jorhat, Golaghat, Garamur (Majuli) and Bokakhat are conducting search operations.
