3.7 magnitude earthquake hits Assam, Meghalaya

A 3.6 magnitude earthquake hit different places in Assam and Meghalaya on Thursday night. According to the National Center for Seismology, the epicentre of the earthquake was 31 km east of Guwahati.No damage or casualty has been reported yet. 

The earthquake struck at 10:33 PM at a depth of 30 km from the surface. According to the report, the tremor was felt in Guwahati, Nagaon, Darang, Morigaon, Nalbari besides Shillong in Meghalaya.

Earlier, an earthquake of magnitude 3.5 was reported near Nalanda in Bihar on Monday night. According to India's National Center for Seismology, the epicentre of the earthquake was 20 km northwest (NW) of Nalanda, Bihar. The earthquake struck at 9:23 PM IST at a depth of 5 km from the surface.
