New Delhi: The second wave of corona virus in the country is now beginning to stop. But the black fungus outbreak is still going on. There are 5126 active black fungus patients in Maharashtra and 412 deaths have been reported so far. Recently, the Bombay High Court had said that Maharashtra needs to inform the Centre that mucomycosis (black fungus) patients in Marathwada area of the state are dying due to lack of medicine required for treatment.

Hearing petitions related to the global epidemic Corona virus, the Bombay High Court said that patients are being given one or two injections every day while they need to be given four to five injections per day. He said 124 people have died due to this. He said that even today, there is 70 per cent less supply than what is required.

Black fungus cases have been reported in 28 states of the country so far. According to data a few days ago, about 19,000 cases were reported in 26 states, while officials reported on Monday that more than 28,000 cases have been reported in 28 states of the country so far. About 300 patients are reported to have died.
