Indian Railways has made a big announcement on Thursday. In which data has been released that a total of 4,615 special trains were run for the workers and labours. In a statement from the railway, it was said that more than four thousand special trains have been operated for the workers. In which till July 9, more than 63 lakh people have been sent home.

Apart from this, Railway Board President Vinod Kumar Yadav has revealed all the figures in his statement. In which he told via video conferencing (VC) on Thursday that Indian Railways operated the last labourer special train on July 9. He also said that Indian Railways is ready to run more trains after receiving demands from any state.

On July 9, the last labour special train was operated by Indian Railways. After which, we have not received any demand from any state. Therefore, we believe that all the demands of the state governments are fulfilled in every way, but still, the railway is ready to run more trains. Yadav said during VC that Till now we have run 4,615 special trains for labourers on demand of various state governments. More than 63 lakh passengers have been sent back home through these trains. Indian Railways started running labour special trains from May 1, 2020, at the time of lockdown.
