Indore: Under Deen Dayal Upadhyay Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY), about 44 thousand health workers have been prepared across the country. During this crisis, their services can be of great help in dealing with the shortage of health workers. These health worker rooms include young people trained in blood bank, dialysis lab technician, general health management etc. A large number of health workers in rural areas have also been given training under the scheme being run by the Union Government Ministry of Rural Development for the last few years. About 16 thousand youths of Madhya Pradesh have also joined such trained youth. A large number of these are also those health workers who do not currently have employment.

In most districts of the state, the number of such trained youth is from 50 to 200. The Union Health Ministry has also sent a letter to the Chief Secretaries of the states and advised to take their services. By taking the services of such people from the Central Government list, great help can be taken in the identification and awareness of suspected patients in small towns and rural areas. A large number of such trained youths are also trained youths of blood bank, lab technician, general health management.
