Dehradun: Uttarakhand is receiving incessant heavy rain. There have been incidents of floods and landslides in many areas. Here 25-30 trackers were stuck due to heavy rains on the Gomukh track in Uttarkashi. The SDRF team has saved all the trackers. However, the SDRF team also faced a lot of difficulties during the rescue.

SDRF informed that all these trackers were rescued on Monday night. The tracker team was stuck on the Gomukh trek on Monday due to a jammed road following a landslide in Devgarh. The incident was reported to Gangotri police. The SDRF team then left for the spot and reached here and managed to rescue the trakers even after rain and difficult roads.

In Uttarakhand, 47 people have lost their lives so far in rain-related incidents. Of these, 42 are residents of the Kumaon region. Meanwhile, state CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has announced financial assistance of 4.4 lakh rupees to the next of kin of the deceased. NDRF has deployed 15 teams in the state. So far 300 people have been evacuated safely from flood-affected areas.
