A 4.8 magnitude earthquake occurred in southern Puerto Rico late Thursday. This cold earthquake has created turmoil in the area. It is believed that by the end of December, the earth is expected to move.
According to the US Geological Survey, the earthquake struck at a depth of 7 miles (12 kilometres) near the southern district of Gunilla. Reports of 5.1 magnitudes are also being reported in the initial tremors of this earthquake. There is no damage at the moment, though many Puerto Rico residents have felt the tremors and they trembled with fear.
This earthquake was felt everywhere, with the island's seismic network director V Couture Hurfano providing information about the earthquake in The Associated Press talk. He said that this is one of the many attacks since the 6.4 magnitude earthquake in early January which led to the death of one person and the loss of millions of dollars on the south coast of Puerto Rico.
