In Visakhapatnam, 5 people died in a tragic road accident, including a child among those who died. Late on Friday, a tourist bus fell into a ditch at Anantagiri near Araku in Visakhapatnam. In this incident, 5 people lost their lives and 13 people were injured. 30 people were boarding this bus. DIG Ranga Rao of Visakhapatnam area said that the team has reached the spot and rescue operations have been started. Another senior officer said that rescue work is being done by the National Disaster Relief Force and the State Fire Service employees.
According to local people, the passengers in the bus are residents of Telangana, who came to see the Araku hill region. PM Narendra Modi has expressed his condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the incident. PM Modi took to Twitter and wrote, 'Distressed to hear about the accident in Visakhapatnam, AP. Condolences to the families of those who lost their lives. Prayers with the injured. Apart from this, Andhra Pradesh's opposition party leader Chandrababu Naidu has also expressed his sorrow for this incident. Naidu tweeted and wrote, 'The horrific bus accident on the Araku Ghat road has hurt a lot. I express my condolences to the families of the dead and wish the injured well soon.' TRS leader KT Rama Rao said on Twitter that the residents of Araku are worried about the incident and have asked the Andhra Pradesh government to provide all possible help.
